The project involved working on some enhancements and fixations on a Magento based website. A notable challenge involved in the project was upgrading the code from Magento version 1.3 to 1.5. This was a complex task at hand considering the fact that Magento had a number of version upgrades between 1.3 and 1.5 and for each release the code underwent some radical changes. We had to synchronize the existing 1.3 code with the upgraded architecture of version 1.5. Apart from the upgrade, we checked the entire code base to remove malicious code to get the site functional.
